Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Mzansi Coach is operated by Shannon Loder (“we”, “us”, “our”). We provide a coaching platform for South African motor-retail dealership staff. Contact: shannon@mzansiready.co.za

2. What information we collect

We collect only what is necessary to provide the service:

• Your name and email address (for account creation and sign-in)
• Your job title, dealership name, and dealership city (optional, collected during onboarding)
• Coaching session content — the situations you describe and responses provided
• Usage data — which features you use, when you sign in, and general platform activity

We do not collect customer names, ID numbers, vehicle registration numbers, VINs, banking details, or other third-party personal information. The platform actively warns users when potentially sensitive data is entered.

3. How we use your information

• To provide and improve the coaching service
• To allow managers to see anonymised team usage patterns (not individual session content)
• To send service-related communications (not marketing without your consent)
• To detect and prevent misuse of the platform

4. How we store your information

Your data is stored securely using Supabase (a managed cloud database provider). Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. We apply row-level security so that each user only sees their own data, and managers only see their dealership’s anonymised aggregates.

5. Who we share your information with

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:

• Supabase — our database and authentication provider
• OpenAI — the coaching response engine. We use OpenAI’s API with settings that prevent your content from being used to train their models.
• Service providers strictly required to deliver the platform

We do not share your personal information with your employer, dealership group, or any third party without your explicit consent, except where required by South African law.

6. Your POPIA rights

Under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), you have the right to:

• Know what personal information we hold about you
• Request access to your personal information
• Request correction of inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your account and personal data
• Object to the processing of your personal information
• Lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator

To exercise any of these rights, email shannon@mzansiready.co.za with subject “POPIA Request”. We will respond within 30 days.

7. Account deletion

You may request deletion of your account and all associated personal data at any time by emailing shannon@mzansiready.co.za with subject “Delete my account”. We will process the request within 14 days.

8. Cookies and tracking

We use essential session cookies required for sign-in and authentication. We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes by email or in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect.
